I phoned 1 of the 4 LFS today, and i asked if they had any Crowntails, they said "no we only have the Opaline ones"

I think it refers to colour as there isn't an Opaline as far as tail type goes. To be honest though most LFS wouldn't know a VT from a HM.

You never know....you may be lucky. We have one near us that quite often has CTs in but don't think they have any at the moment. Will keep an eye out for you though

Opaline is a term referring to a colour pattern, however........as far as bettas are concerned its probably a "made up fancy term" by someone wanting to make bigger profits by selling them at a higher price.
